Each strength workout focuses on learning how to work your muscles to the point of fatigue which is how we efficiently build strength. Exercises are targeted and well supported making this feel safer and far less intimidating (but not easier!) than a traditional weight room routine. While this class won't leave you exhausted and dripping in sweat, it will help you communicate with your body more effectively. This leads to increased metabolic rate (resulting in weight stabilization or loss), decrease in osteoporosis risk, hormone regulation, decrease in injury, and more of the many benefits that come with building muscle. At the end of the series, you will receive a 4 week workout plan that you will be able to continue on your own because consistency is what matters.

Don't let the activities you love leave your body creaking, groaning, or injured. You will spend 45 minutes building strength and challenging your mobility in a total body workout that works your muscles, allows your joints to move more freely, and helps prevent further injury. The last 15 min of class eases into a guided myofascial release using balls and rollers to decrease tension in your body and leave you loose, limber, and ready for your next adventure.

This class has it all! A low impact, cardio, strength and balance class designed to progressively increase your movement using free weights and body weight. I give modifications throughout the class so you can workout at the level that you need. With emphasis on proper form, this class is great for those who are just starting to exercise, maintaining their strength, or trying to increase their overall fitness. You will work hard and have a great time!
